Independence Day marks 48 years of business for Yoder

There won’t be any fireworks or a marching band to mark the occasion but local custom home builder and designer Leon Yoder will be celebrating his 48th year serving the public in the home building, design and most recently the renovation business when the July 4 holiday takes place here in Lakeway.

We are in dire times with regard to fire hazards and we still have many undeveloped lots in Lakeway along with all the greenbelts that present a chance for an instant conflagration.

The City of Lakeway and the Travis County Citizens Bond Advisory Committee would like Lakeway residents’ support on two potential projects, one to improve Flint Rock Road and a second to extend Bee Creek Road and Highlands Boulevard, which may receive funding through a bond referendum in the November 2011 elections.
