Who could have forecast that over 100 individuals from the Lakeway and surrounding community would respond in such a manner?

Yet, volunteer opportunities are still available for individuals who are available during the day-time hours on May 12, 13, and 14.
Teams of two or more persons have fulfilled the basic host and security responsibilities during 24-hour periods from noon on Wednesday May 12 through 7 a.m. Monday May 17. However, with the astounding response from the Lake Travis Independent School District field-trip schedule to visit the venue at Lake Travis High School football field, more volunteers will be welcome during the week-day periods.

Bottom-line: Over 3000 students from LTISD are expected to visit the exhibit from noon 3 p.m. on May 12, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 13 and 14. Assisting the school staff escorts during these periods would be most welcome.

Once confirmed, it is requested that you attend the reception for volunteers on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 for additional instructions. Further instructions will be provided with your confirmation.
