burglary

Lakeway police are looking for two men who burglarized three eateries late Wednesday night in the city and two more just outside city limits in Travis County.

The suspects used vise grips or pliers to “flip” or twist the locks and drop the deadbolts to gain entry to Ate Café, Two Hot Mamas and Donut Hole, which are all in Lakeway Towne Center at the Lohman’s Crossing and Rural Route 620 intersection.
The suspects also are connected to burglaries that same night at Dunkin’ Donuts and Honeybee Ham in the Lighthouse Market just outside city limits.
Lakeway Police Chief Todd Radford said no employees were in the businesses at the time and the suspects stole cash and damaged the interiors of some of the businesses.
Radford said the department could not release more information about the investigation at this time, but that detectives had obtained good leads.
“This is a very fresh case. We have some evidence that we are looking at and building leads on,” he said.
