Another undefeated season, and another slew of district awards for Cavalier players.

Lake Travis head coach Chad Morris was finally able to release the 25-4A all-district team after the team’s championship win, and the Cavs – as expected – were well represented.

Lake Travis running back Andy Erickson was named District MVP, while Quinton Crow was named Defensive MVP – opposite Offensive MVP Michael Cummings of Killeen.

First team offensive honors went to quarterback Michael Brewer, receiver Conner Floyd, guard Ian Kelso, tackle Taylor Doyle and center Will Hawk.

Second team offensive honors went to running back Jack Patton, receiver Griffin Gilbert and tackle Scott Morris.

First team defensive honors went to defensive tackle Jonathan Roberts, defensive end Trevor Gillette, linebackers Austin Williams and Ian Lazarus, safety Collin Lagasse and defensive back Taylor Wrinkle.

Second team defensive honors went to defensive end Shaquille Marable, safety Hunter Akers and defensive back Omar Duke-Tinson.

Kramer Fyfe was named first-team kicker.

Honorable mention honors went to receiver Alex Matthews, running back Michael Pojman, guard Reagan Womack, defensive back Ethan Willinger and defensive lineman Casey Laney.

Erickson’s MVP win gives Lake Travis its seventh district MVP during the decade. Previous winners were Greg Wiggins (2000), Todd Reesing (04-05) and Garrett Gilbert (06-08).

Sunday, Erickson joined Reesing and Gilbert as a Lake Travis player named the CenTex Player of the Year.top story erickson
