On Saturday, October 17, hot air balloons will light up the night sky at Lakeway City Park for Goblin Glow, 6:30-8 p.m.
Following the event, the classic fright flick, Creature from the Black Lagoon, will be shown under the stars.
Entertainment for the evening will include trick-or-treating from hot air balloons, face painters, balloon twisters, stilt walkers, and live music. Andra Streety, Lakeway Parks and Recreation Director chose the music group, “We are very proud to announce that the Gary Lee Cox Band will be performing. They are fun, energetic, and amazingly talented- the perfect soundtrack for this all-age event.”
Creature from the Black Lagoon is slated to begin around 8:15 p.m. It will be projected like other “movies in the park” so bring your own blankets and chairs. “We thought Creature was the perfect spooky film to show in our lakeside park,” remarked Kristen Cole, Goblin Glow Event Coordinator.
Goblin Glow is free to the public, so bring your ghouls and goblins to enjoy all the activities. Parking is limited, so please plan accordingly.
In the case of strong wind or rain, the event, minus the hot air balloons, will be held at the Lakeway Activity Center.
