The Women’s Club Board, chaired by President, Janet Eaddy, has finalized the dates and programs for the general meetings for the 2009-10 year.

All general meetings will be held on Monday mornings at the Lakeway Inn and Spa Resort and will begin at 10 a.m.. A coffee-time social is planned from 9:30 -10 a.m. A luncheon will follow each meeting.
The first meeting will be on Sept. 28 with Jeri Spence explaining the life of broadway star, Zachary Scott, founder of the Zach Theatre. Spence will feature a live performance from the ZACH “ShowStopper Troupe.”
The ever popular Fashion Show, highlighting the new fashion trends using clothes from Dillard’s, is scheduled for Oct. 19.
On Nov. 23, Diane Young, an acknowledged worldwide skincare and beauty expert and pioneer of anti-aging beauty treatments and products will give an overview of beauty regimes.
The Jan. 25, 2010 meeting will feature Clarke Straughan, a motivational speaker, author, and retired Colonel in Intelligence
The inspirational speaker, Rosie Babin, will tell the story of one family’s dedication, devotion, and hope at the February 22nd meeting.
On March 22, Patricia Brison will give a historical slide presentation celebrating Texas Independence.
At the April 26 meeting, Mary Collins Blackmon, the Director and Curator of the Elisabet Ney Museum will discuss the life of Elisabet Ney, the world famous sculptor, and her influence on early Texas History.
The Installation Luncheon will round out the year on May 17.
The Spring Dance will also take place at the Lakeway Inn and Spa on Friday night, March 5.

All women are welcome at any general meeting. Linda Swan, Membership Chairman, will accept new member applications anytime during the year for women living in the Greater Lakeway area. To be included in the yearbook, membership applications are due before Sept. 30, 2009. Contact Swan at 261-6079.
The 23 special interest groups affiliated with the Women’s Club will begin in September — many diverse activities are represented — from Dinner Club to Garden or Antique Club, to Out and About, among many others.
