Last week’s thunderstorms sparked a fire in the attic of a home on the 1700 block of Trail of the Woods on Hudson Bend.

“A total of four occupants were able to exit the house without injury or incident in a safe and organized manner before fire crews arrived on scene. Damage estimates are not available at the time of this press release,” Lake Travis Fire Rescue officials said in a statement.
A lightning bolt sparked the fire around 2 a.m. June 3, firefighters said.
The fire, contained to the attic and some supporting walls, was extinguished quickly.
Damage estimates were not available at the time of publication Tuesday night but fire officials said they believed it was less than $50,000.
Fire officials took the opportunity to remind citizens to have a planned emergency exit strategy in case of a fire or emergency.
