At a time when most businesses are doing whatever they can to cut costs, Papa Murphy’s Pizza is cutting a portion of their sales — straight to Lake Travis Crisis Ministries.
Throughout the month of June, 10 percent of their net sales will be donated to the local charity that helps families in need.
“For quite some time, we’ve been trying to figure out how we could really serve the community since we’ve gotten so popular,” owner and operator Bridget Bertram said.
To draw in even more customers for the month of June, Papa Murphy’s is teaming up with Traeger Grills of Austin to give pizza purchasers a chance to win a backyard pizza party. During June, those who purchase a grilling tray and two or more pizzas can enter to win.
Papa Murphy’s will supply up to 10 pizzas for the party, along with two cheesy breads, two cinnamon wheels and three 2-liter sodas. Traeger will bring two of their grills to get the party started.
“The more people that we can get to try Papa Murphy’s or use Papa Murphy’s for parties, the bigger the check will be at the end of the month for Lake Travis Crisis Ministries,” Bertram said.
She’s also thrilled with the opportunity to give back to the community, which she said has been so good to her family and business.
“When you have a new business, you’re really shackled to it,” she said. “This is a great way for everyone to know that Michael and I love our community. We really truly feel that the more you give the more you get back.”
