Lakeway and Bee Cave Police have both filed arrest warrants for Panvrla Kay White, a 40-year-old woman who they allege is responsible for a rash of purse snatchings in the area.

Police said all of the purses were stolen out of shopping carts while victims were shopping at the H.E.B. on Texas 71 and the Randall’s on RR 620.
“[White] was identified during the investigation because we came up with a vehicle description,” Bee Cave Det. Ken Sidenblad said. He added that several victims reported the robber fleeing in a red two-door Nissan Truck. “That led us to look for someone and we got an identity based on the associates [of the truck's owner].”
The truck, bearing the Texas license plate numbered “50TMJ7″belongs to Leslie Hargraves of North Pace Bend Road, a known acquaintance of White, according to police.
According to the affidavit, all of the victims said they noticed a woman carrying a large green purse at the time their purses were taken.
When a Travis Country Sheriff’s Department deputy attempted to serve an unrelated arrest warrant to Hargraves at the address, he found the suspect vehicle and noticed a large green purse matching the description in the back seat. He did not, according to the affidavit, find Hargraves at the address.
Sidenblad said seven purses had been taken at the Bee Cave location and Lakeway Police Chief Gordon Bowers said two had been taken at Randall’s in Lakeway. While most of the Bee Cave incidents happened in mid-February, Bowers said the two Lakeway thefts occurred two to three weeks ago.
“It’s been a joint investigation,” Sidenblad said. “We’ve shared information back and forth with Lakeway and Austin. Austin had an incident.”
He requested that anyone with information on White or Hargraves contact their area law enforcement agency.
