The election slate for the upcoming Pedernales Electric Cooperative election is set.
At its April 20 Board meeting in Johnson City, PEC directors announced the 11 PEC members who have qualified to run in the upcoming Board election. Members will elect Directors for District 1, District 6 and District 7.

The order of candidates on the ballot was determined by a random drawing conducted by representatives of Election Services Corporation, the independent organization conducting PEC’s election. Listed by district and in the order they will appear on the ballot, the candidates are:
3 Director, District 1: Mark A. Mayfield, Bill Wilcox, Cristi Clement and Sandra P. “Sandy” Jenkins
3 Director, District 6: Theresa Rourke, Larry Landaker, Linda Kaye Rogers, Robbi Boone, David Bethancourt and Daryl Losaw
3 Director, District 7: Patrick Cox, Ph.D.
All PEC members are invited to an April 28 forum where Board candidates can meet with members and communicate their credentials, experience and views. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the PEC Training Center, located at 1506 North U.S. Highway 281 in Johnson City. Each candidate will have two minutes to address the audience on the topics of their choice; the speeches will be filmed and the video posted to PEC’s web site. Following the addresses, members will have the opportunity to meet the candidates individually and ask questions.
Ballots and candidates’ biography information will be mailed to all PEC members May 6. Members may return completed ballots by mail using the included prepaid return envelopes or vote online through ESC’s secure web site. Mail-in and online voting must be completed by June 12. Members also can vote in person at the annual membership meeting June 20.
More information about the candidates and the election, including a map outlining Directors’ district boundaries, is available on www.pec.coop.
