Serene Hills Elementary School will soon have a new automated external defibrillator thanks to the Lake Travis Lions Club.

In the wake of a feral dog attack on property belonging to Bob Pope last February, some residents of the Lone Oaks subdivision, most of which falls only into the Lakeway extra-territorial jurisdiction, held a meeting to discuss the formation of a neighborhood association at City Hall, Thursday, March 12.

The Travis County Commissioners’ Court has temporarily lifted the ban on outdoor burning, according to a statement.

Lakeway City Council Members did quite a bit of Spring-cleaning at their meeting Monday night, hearing the results of their audit, an update on the Lakeway Regional Medical Center and tidying up the Development Ordinance, Fee Ordinance and Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.

Texas Senator Kirk Watson filed a bill last Thursday that, if passed, would allow the City of Lakeway to annex the Lakeway MUD after a series of studies and public hearings.
