Lakeway Police are investigating a possible sexual assault at the Lakeway Resort and Spa.
They say they received a call of a disturbance in one of the hotel rooms at about 12:30 a.m., March 21. Thomas Robert Diaz, Jr., 22, was charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor, a Class A Misdemeanor.

“[If convicted] that will result in either a fine up to $4,000, confinement up to 180 days or both,” Lakeway Police Detective Mary Proctor said.
Officers do not believe that Diaz was involved in the alleged sexual assault.
Detectives are still investigating the incident and more charges may be filed, police said. As of press time, Lakeway Police were not releasing the number of people in the hotel room, their ages or any details of what they believe may have occurred.
