A little slice of Italy will soon find a home in Bee Cave.

Mandola’s Market, created by Carrabba’s Italian Grill co-founder and renowned chef Damian Mandola, is looking to open a branch of its popular Italian-American deli in the Hill Country Galleria.
“It’s a great market right now, that area is really seeing a lot of growth. We really like Bee Cave; the galleria is out there; there is a lot of expansion in home sales,” Damian Mandola Jr. said.
He said they are looking to create a casual atmosphere with killer cuisine.
“It’s just a very laid back atmosphere, very typical Italian-American. Nothing very formal; a place where someone can come get a great plate of pasta, a great pizza, a great glass of wine – nothing too pretentious,” Mandola said.
The family is in the process of submitting their plans to Bee Cave for approval, President of Operations Frank Martinucci said. They hope to be open between mid-July and mid-August.
The current Mandola’s Market at the Triangle where Guadalupe and Lamar Boulevard merge has been open for three years. In addition to opening the new Bee Cave location they are planning to open one at Mopac and William Cannon.
“Damian is all about fresh product, great food, the atmosphere; that’s certainly something that we pride ourselves on,” Martinucci said.
Mandola also owns Trattoria Lisina and Mandola Estate Winery near Driftwood.
