Lake Travis put together its second dominating playoff performance in a row Friday night, topping Schertz Clemens 77-66 at Canyon Lake High School.

The game was never really in doubt, as the Cavaliers jumped out to an early 10-3 lead within the first three minutes that forced Clemens to call a timeout and take a breath. It was something that developed into a pattern the rest of the night.

The Cavaliers led 20-14 after one quarter, and extended that lead to 41-33 at halftime. At points in the second half, Lake Travis led by more than 20, but Clemens’ furious pace and refusal to give in kept the game from getting out of hand.

Lake Travis will play Killeen in the third round, for the third time this year, after the ‘Roos topped Boerne Champion by two in overtime Friday night. The time and location for that game has not yet been decided.
