The outlook was grim after one quarter for Lake Travis Friday night, but it was far from a sign of things to come.

Down 15-8 to rival Dripping Springs in the bi-district championship at the Tony Burger Athletic Center, it appeared the Cavaliers might be looking at another abrupt playoff exit at the hands of an unworthy opponent.

But then Lake Travis started hitting shots, outscoring the Tigers 19-3 in the second quarter, and blowing them out in the end, 72-34.

“….at the hands of an unworthy opponent.” Arrogant much? I think every squad that’s good enough to make the state playoffs in any sport is worthy of something!!!
