The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce will host its 17th Annual Community Awards Banquet at 6 p.m. Jan. 31 at The Oasis, 6550 Comanche Trail, presented by Prosperity Bank.

 ”The chamber is honoring our members and the community,” said Chairman of the Board of Directors Beth Byer.
Individual tickets are $65 or $500 for a table of eight. Businesses may become a Gold Sponsor for $1,000 and receive recognition in the Lake Travis View and Banquet Program along with their table of eight. Platinum Sponsors will receive wine service, recognition in the Lake Travis View, the Banquet Program with their logo, acknowledgement at the banquet and banquet publicity for $1,500.
“After the banquet we’re going to be having the band, The Starters, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. The dance is included in the price of the ticket or sponsorship.”

• Citizen of the Year: Will Mitchell, Sasi Mannem, DDS, Jacqueline Jones, Haythem Dawlett, Darryl Zavodny
• Unsung Hero: Jim Gentil, Sam Chapman, Jacqueline Jones, Don Lamb, Coach Hank Carter & the Starting Defensive Line of the LTHS football team
• Shining Star: Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary Club, Central Texas Parrot Head Club, Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, Lake Travis Lions Club
• Rising Star: LTHS Interact Club, Garrett Gilbert
• Volunteer of the Year: Jamie Baillie, Barker Keith, Will Mitchell and Bob Stubbs.
Winners will be determined by a committee of chamber members will review the nominations.
