The belief held by many football scholars and scribes about district 25-4A coming into the season was that it was weaker thanks to realignment, and that Lake Travis would coast to another district title.

Lake Travis (4-0) got a scare from Evangel Christian in the final game of its pre-district schedule Friday night, but managed to hold off the Eagles 46-31 to seal an undefeated record heading into district play.
Lakeway approves lower property tax rate

Thanks to a property tax reduction referendum passed by Lakeway voters in November of 2007, residents will reap an ad valorem tax rate nearly three cents less than the city’s current 21.30 percent rate in the coming fiscal year, according to City Manager Steve Jones.
